The PSS Program
Puget Sound Select (PSS) was founded by Jamie Asaka and Tami Tommila in 2006 for 15 high school players who wanted an opportunity to play lacrosse in the summer. We were just a practice team and scheduled a few games with our friends in Oregon. Since then, we have grown considerably in both numbers and competition.
We are all about building strong young people through the great sport of lacrosse, providing a safe and supportive place for all to play, fostering the Northwest lacrosse community, creating lasting friendships, and having fun along the way.
We typically have 2 teams in the summer, fall and winter seasons. We practice at Lakeside H.S. and travel nationally for tournaments.
We have several hundred PSS alumnae and many of them have gone on to play at the collegiate level, including Princeton, Stanford, Navy, Army, Denver, Syracuse, Amherst, Tufts, Colby, Claremont, Redlands, Chapman, Pomona, Colorado College and many more!
